Greys – Kill Appeal

The rock band from Toronto was back in early 2019 with their 3rd album. Let me share with you their single “Kill Appeal” and its heavy atmosphere. I especially enjoy the distortion coming at 1’47 which leads you into madness.

Jorge Elbrecht – Perish

Do you feel the 80s vibe and the Depeche Mode synth? (but not in a synthwave style) Everybody with me “PERISH! PERISH!”. This track is taken from Elbrecht’s LP “Gloss coma”: https://jorgeelbrecht.bandcamp.com/album/gloss-coma-002

Mark Lanegan Special

After the post of Mark Lanegan I did previously, and because it’s my blog and I do what I want 😜, I decided to share with you five tracks featuring him. To avoid a too long post, I will just insert the YouTube links. Don’t worry, it will open in a new tab so you can keep browsing tracksdiscovery. I hope you will enjoy.

Alex Chilltown – Drown

“Drown” is taken from the first album of Alex Chilltown “Eulogies”, and is my favourite track from it. “Carry on” is also nice, more downtempo, but there is something in “Drown” which caught me.

BDRMM – Shame

Though I am not a fan of the jerky way it is sung, I love the melody. The part during the bridge makes me think of some The Cure’s songs. Despite its melancholy premise, “Shame” smoulders with understated optimism. The rest of their first EP is also nice to listen to with a more chill vibe. If you are in Paris or its neighbourhood in May and want to see them live, you probably guessed where to go: The Supersonic as always. Here is the link to the event: https://www.facebook.com/events/773955036347628/
