Cassels – All the St John's Wort in the World

Here is some garage punk from 2 brothers based in Oxford. This track will take you up and down the hill with heavy riffs followed by more calm parts.

The Tomb of Nick Cage – Cryptids And Creatures

At first, I wanted to share with you only “Crucible”, the opening track of the album, but because of the music genre, I considered each track part of a whole, hence the full album here. I don’t know what they worth live, but I definitely imagine a kind of lively freak show going on. As for the music, it definitely has sometimes a bit of “The Cramps” vibe.

Why the name “The Tomb of Nick Cage”? By browsing the web, I found an article on Atlas Obscura explaining that actor Nicolas Cage purchased two plots in New Orleans’ cemetery using one to construct an unusual pyramid mausoleum. Is it an homage to “National Treasure”? Because of the Voodoo culture? Because it is the birthplace of jazz? Who knows. The pyramid is emblazoned with the Latin maxim, “Omnia Ab Uno” which translates to “Everything From One”. Are the band’s name and this fact linked? Maybe :).

Refused – New Noise

I came across this song while watching “The Hitman’s Bodyguard”. I was sure I already heard it but could not pinpoint where or when. Fact is that it was back in the early 2010s when I discovered The Bloody Beetroots. They released with Steve Aoki a remix of this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBoiVlp9Qno ♫GET ICE CREAM♫

Blink-182 – Not Another Christmas Song

♫Fa la la la. Fa la la la♫

We already had “Not another teen movie”, now we have “Not another Christmas song”. Blink-182 is blessing us with this present after the release of their new album “Nine” earlier this year (we may come back on it later). Don’t expect reindeers, candy, or love stories. This is not another Christmas song. After not being home for Christmas, now they want a divorce…

Do you still have the Christmas spirit?
