When I pressed play, the first synth notes directly threw me back into the 80s. That was a good start as it made me think of Timecop1983 music that I really enjoy. The music video with its aesthetic, the John Bender outfit (The Breakfast Club <3) and the Aladdin Sane make up, added to the charm of the music (There may be more references I didn’t get. Feel free to point them out in the comments). In a nutshell, All The Damn Vampires gives us a heart-warming track filled with the candid hope of our youth.

Timecop1983 – Lovers Part 1 & Part 2
Timecop1983 is probably my favourite synthwave artist. I just fell in love with his music. For Valentine’s day 2020, he released the part 1 & 2 of his lover album on vinyl and cassette and I thought it was time to talk about him. I could have chosen any album he made. They are all fantastic to me. I don’t remember how I came across his music but I am glad I did. I hope it is the same for you. As written on the Ironskullet website: “Timecop1983 has consistently been at the forefront of the trend toward gentle, dreamy compositions accompanied by modern vocal deliveries, establishing the sound of popwave music alongside artists like FM-84 and The Midnight“.

Hibskit – Eleven
This track definitely gives me chill. As a fan of Stranger Things and of synthwave, I had to share it with you guys. I haven’t found much about Hibskit.
